Forever grateful for the services of Ibiza Calm 2015. From first contact at the airport I felt safe, cared for and held. I arrived at Ibiza Calm chronically unwell on deaths door. I’d lost all hope in myself and life itself. I was physically, emotionally and mentally in a state of despair and riddled with fear, shame and guilt! When I arrived at the centre i could feel, in a visceral way, by the warm atmosphere transmitted there that I was safe. I knew instantly by the welcome that I was going to be cared for and understood by all the staff on site. From the get go I was treated as an individual and given a comprehensive IPP individual personal program suited to my physical, mental and emotional needs, including my diet. As the time passed, my IPP was constantly reviewed and adjusted accordingly to suit my current needs. I went on to complete and left IC with a relapse prevention plan, a plan that has stood me in good stead as I will be celebrating 10yrs in December. I’ll be forever grateful for IC saving my life, that gratitude includes my family too. 5🌟👍

As a male of 64 years old, I have been diagnosed with PTSD and depression which has led me down many dark roads. I have never felt comfortable to talk about these things until my time in Ibiza Calm. I was made to feel comfortable and socially accepted for what I am which allowed me to talk about things past and present. The medical staff and support workers at Ibiza Calm has enabled me to get my life back on track and to live again. I don’t know how to thank you enough for all your help and support during my time at Ibiza Calm and the continued after care. I am eternally grateful, J.S

A family member recently stayed at Ibiza Calm and had an excellent experience. The place is beautiful and offered a calming nature reset during a difficult period of anxiety and burnout. Everyone in the team was professional, supportive, and they were very clear with the plan they designed. They guided and assisted him every step of the way, which really made a huge difference. Even after his stay, their aftercare plan has been superb. Truly worth it... highly recommended!

I was a guest at Ibiza Calm just over a year ago, and when I arrived, I was a completely shattered man. I was struggling with serious mental health issues and had suffered a breakdown — I truly felt I was at the end of my tether. I spent six weeks at Ibiza Calm, and during that time, everything began to change. The incredible staff helped me rebuild myself piece by piece with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. The structure of the programme is tailored to each individual, which made all the difference for me. Today, I’m in a completely different frame of mind and genuinely living my best life. I owe so much to the support I received at Ibiza Calm. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough to anyone struggling with their mental health or addiction. It’s a place that gives you hope — and the tools to find yourself again. Michael Cullen

    About This Practice

  • Ibiza Calm is a world-class residential clinic specializing in the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health conditions. Located in the heart of the Ibiza countryside, the facility provides a serene environment conducive to healing and self-reflection.
  • The clinic is particularly suited for international tourists and the expat community because it operates primarily in English. It bridges the gap between high-end hospitality and rigorous clinical excellence, making it a preferred destination for those seeking private healthcare in the Balearic Islands.
  • Their specialization in 'Dual Diagnosis' means they don't just treat the symptoms of addiction; they provide deep psychological support for the depression, trauma, or anxiety that often fuels substance abuse.
  • Facility & Team

  • The facility is housed in 'Can Besora,' a beautifully restored 500-year-old traditional farmhouse set on 8 acres of private land. It features a swimming pool, expansive gardens, and private or semi-private en-suite rooms.
  • The team is led by founder John Dye and Medical Director Dr. Manuel Rodriguez (Psychiatrist). The staff includes British and Spanish qualified psychologists, specialized addiction nurses, and holistic practitioners.
  • The clinic maintains a high staff-to-patient ratio, ensuring personalized attention. Most staff members have decades of experience in the international addiction field.
  • What to Expect During Your Visit

  • The experience begins with a comprehensive medical and psychological assessment. If necessary, patients undergo a medically supervised detox to safely manage withdrawal symptoms.
  • The daily schedule is structured, involving individual therapy, group sessions, and educational workshops. Patients also participate in wellness activities like yoga, meditation, and fitness to rebuild physical health.
  • The approach is integrative, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and 12-Step facilitation tailored to the individual's needs.
  • Location & Accessibility

  • Situated in Sant Mateu d’Albarca, the clinic is far from the island's tourist hubs, ensuring maximum privacy and quiet. It is approximately a 25-minute drive from Ibiza Airport and 15 minutes from Ibiza Town.
  • While the location is remote, the clinic provides private transfers for arriving patients. The estate is mostly ground-floor accessible, though some areas of the traditional farmhouse may have limited wheelchair access; it is recommended to contact them in advance for specific mobility needs.
  • Why Tourists Choose Them

  • Tourists choose Ibiza Calm for the 'destination recovery' aspect—the Mediterranean climate and the seclusion of the island provide a powerful psychological break from their home environment.
  • The clinic is renowned for its discretion, making it a safe haven for those who need to recover away from the prying eyes of their social or professional circles.
  • Booking & Practical Info

  • Admissions can be arranged quickly, often within 24 to 48 hours, depending on room availability. Initial consultations are usually conducted via phone or video call.
