Glad I had a perfect sunglasses 🕶️ from the as the fabric is titanium and well shaped in my face. The person working there is well aware that about this brand and the fact he did convinced me that I had to buy from them. Mr. Alex, thank you for being so helpful.

    About This Practice

  • Capote Eyewear is not a typical optician; it is a flagship boutique for a globally recognized, Ibiza-born brand. They specialize in high-concept eyewear that combines the 'spirit of the island' with technical precision. For tourists and expats, it offers a blend of medical vision correction and high-end fashion. Their primary focus is on providing unique, durable frames that stand out from mass-produced alternatives.
  • Facility & Team

  • The boutique is located in a historic street in Ibiza Town, featuring a minimalist yet industrial aesthetic that showcases the eyewear as art. The team is led by founder Alex Capote, whose vision drives both the design and the customer experience. The staff are highly trained in frame selection and lens requirements, ensuring that every pair of glasses is anatomically and optically correct.
  • What to Expect During Your Visit

  • Visitors can expect a highly personalized consultation. Unlike high-volume shops, the focus here is on finding a frame that matches the wearer's facial structure and personality. If you require prescription lenses, the process involves selecting your frame followed by a consultation on lens types (polarized, anti-reflective, etc.). Because the frames are artisanal, the fitting process is meticulous.
  • Location & Accessibility

  • Situated on Carrer de Manuel Sorà, the shop is in the vibrant pedestrian area of Eivissa, close to the port and Dalt Vila. It is easily reachable on foot for anyone staying in Ibiza Town. While there is no parking directly at the door due to the narrow historic streets, the Es Pratet public car park is a short walk away. The shop is on the ground floor, providing easy access.
  • Why Tourists Choose Them

  • Tourists gravitate toward Capote because it offers a piece of 'authentic Ibiza' luxury. The late-night hours are a significant draw, allowing visitors to shop after dinner. Furthermore, the ability to have high-quality prescription lenses fitted into world-class frames makes it a practical stop for those who may have lost or broken their glasses while on vacation.
  • Safety & Standards

  • The boutique maintains high standards of hygiene and product quality. All lenses provided meet EU safety standards for UV protection and optical clarity. They use state-of-the-art materials that are hypoallergenic and designed for longevity.
  • Booking & Practical Info

  • While walk-ins are the norm, private consultations can be arranged via phone or their website. Pricing reflects the artisanal nature of the product, with frames typically falling into the luxury bracket. They accept all major credit cards and provide detailed invoices for those looking to claim costs through private insurance or vision plans.
