Quick Overview

What They Do:

  • Jose Alberto Marí Martín is a highly-regarded private physiotherapist specializing in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal recovery.
  • Unlike high-volume clinics, this practice is known for a personalized, hands-on approach where the practitioner spends dedicated time with each patient.
  • Why Tourists Choose Them:

  • Strategic Location: Situated immediately adjacent to the CETIS (Ibiza’s central bus station), making it the most accessible clinic for tourists staying anywhere on the island.
  • High Success Rate: Known for effective treatment of acute injuries sustained during travel (back pain from flights, sports injuries, or festival-related physical strain).
  • Key Services:

  • Manual Therapy: Specialized hands-on techniques for joint and muscle mobilization.
  • Sports Physiotherapy: Recovery protocols for athletes and active travelers.
  • Standout Features:

  • Expertise: Led by a seasoned professional with a strong local reputation for clinical excellence.
  • Accessibility: Ground-floor access in a modern part of Ibiza Town, ideal for those with limited mobility.
  • What Customers Say

With a 4.7-star rating from 24 reviews, the sentiment is overwhelmingly positive. Patients frequently praise Jose Alberto for being a 'gran profesional' (great professional) and highlight his 'trato excelente' (excellent treatment). A recurring theme in the feedback is the effectiveness of his treatments; several reviewers mention finding relief from chronic or acute pain after just one or two sessions. One patient specifically noted his kindness and ability to explain the root cause of the injury. There are no significant patterns of complaints, though as a private solo practitioner, availability can sometimes be limited during peak summer months due to high demand.

    About This Practice

  • Jose Alberto Marí Martín operates a specialized physiotherapy clinic in the heart of Eivissa (Ibiza Town). The practice focuses on evidence-based rehabilitation and manual therapy, catering to a diverse clientele that includes local residents, the international expat community, and seasonal tourists.
  • The clinic is particularly well-suited for travelers who require immediate attention for physical discomfort, such as lower back pain, neck stiffness, or sports-related injuries. The practitioner's approach is patient-centric, ensuring that the underlying cause of pain is addressed rather than just the symptoms.
  • Facility & Team

  • The clinic is a modern, clean, and professional space equipped with the necessary tools for modern physical therapy and rehabilitation.
  • As a private practice, patients receive direct care from Jose Alberto Marí Martín himself, ensuring consistency in treatment that is often lost in larger medical centers.
  • While the primary language is Spanish, the practitioner is accustomed to treating international patients and can communicate effectively in English to discuss symptoms and treatment plans.
  • What to Expect During Your Visit

  • Initial Assessment: Every first visit begins with a thorough diagnostic interview to understand the patient's medical history and the nature of their current ailment.
  • Treatment Approach: Expect a heavy emphasis on manual therapy (hands-on manipulation) rather than just machine-based treatments. This may include stretching, joint mobilization, and soft tissue work.
  • Wait Times: Appointments are scheduled strictly; therefore, wait times are typically minimal, often under 10 minutes.
  • Location & Accessibility

  • Unbeatable Transit Access: Located next to the CETIS bus station, it is the easiest clinic to reach for those without a rental car. Buses from San Antonio, Santa Eulalia, and the Airport stop just steps away.
  • Parking: While street parking in Ibiza Town can be challenging, there are several paid underground parking garages within a 5-minute walk.
  • Accessibility: The facility is located on the ground floor (Carrer de Canàries), making it fully accessible for wheelchair users or those with severe mobility issues.
  • Why Tourists Choose Them

  • Tourists often find this clinic through word-of-mouth or high local ratings when seeking a reliable, English-friendly physiotherapist outside of the expensive hotel-based wellness centers.
  • Its reputation for 'solving the problem' quickly makes it a top choice for those who don't want their vacation ruined by physical pain.
  • Booking & Practical Info

  • Appointments: Booking is primarily done via telephone (+34 654 87 65 67). It is recommended to call at least 24-48 hours in advance, though emergency slots may be available.
