    About This Practice

  • Servicio Balear de Prevención S.L.U. (SBP) is a specialized medical and technical center dedicated to Occupational Risk Prevention. Unlike a general walk-in clinic, SBP focuses on the health and safety of the workforce in Ibiza.
  • They are the primary contact for businesses ranging from small boutiques to large hotel chains, ensuring that all staff members are 'fit for work' according to Spanish Law 31/1995.
  • For expats and international seasonal workers, SBP is often the first stop to secure the necessary medical clearance required by Spanish employers.
  • Facility & Team

  • The facility is a specialized medical-technical unit featuring consultation rooms for physical exams and technical offices for safety engineers.
  • The team consists of Specialized Occupational Doctors, Technical Nurses, and Safety Technicians (Engineers and Industrial Hygienists).
  • The center uses modern diagnostic tools for hearing, vision, and respiratory testing to ensure comprehensive health tracking over time.
  • While the primary language is Spanish, the staff is accustomed to dealing with the international workforce of Ibiza and can facilitate basic communication in English.
  • What to Expect During Your Visit

  • The process is highly streamlined. Upon arrival, patients check in at the reception and are typically guided through a series of stations: blood/urine collection, vision and hearing tests, and a final physical consultation with a doctor.
  • Appointments are strictly managed to minimize wait times, as most visitors are on a work schedule.
  • The atmosphere is professional, clinical, and efficient.
  • Location & Accessibility

  • Located on Carrer del Músic Fermí Marí, the center is situated in the heart of Ibiza Town (Eivissa), near the administrative districts.
  • It is easily accessible by public transport and within walking distance for those staying or working in the city center.
  • The facility is located on the ground floor, offering full wheelchair accessibility.
  • Street parking can be challenging in this area; visitors are advised to use nearby public parking garages or arrive via taxi/bus.
  • Why Tourists and Expats Choose Them

  • For most 'tourists,' this center is only relevant if they are transitioning into 'seasonal workers' (e.g., club staff, yacht crew, or hotel employees).
  • Expats choose SBP because of their reputation for speed and their ability to provide the specific, legally recognized certificates required by the Spanish Social Security system.
  • Safety & Standards

  • SBP operates under strict ISO standards and Spanish health regulations.
  • They maintain rigorous hygiene protocols, ensuring all medical equipment is sanitized between patients.
  • As a prevention service, they are at the forefront of implementing safety protocols that they also teach to other businesses.
  • Booking & Practical Info

  • Appointments are mandatory and usually coordinated through an employer, though individuals can book for specific certificates.
  • The center operates primarily in the morning (8:00 AM to 2:30 PM), reflecting the standard schedule for Spanish administrative and medical services.
